Photorefractive has an encouraging future in applications such as high-density optical data storage, holographic image processing, phase conjugation, neural networks, simulation of collaborative memory, and programmatic interconnection. The photoconductivity and electro-optic properties of the polymer have been proved to satisfy the photorefractive effect. The photoconductive polymer material can be prepared in a variety of ways. Such as an electron acceptor with a similar pi-electron cloud structure to the polymer backbone doped into a polymer having an electron donor or grafted onto a polymer side chain having an electron donor. It is also possible to dope the low-molecular-weight carrier having carrier characteristics to increase the mobility of photo-generated carriers.
