Electrical Properties Of Inorganic Hybrid Materials

The conductivity of polyimide-inorganic hybrid materials is less. However, it has been reported that with the increase of SiO2 content of the hybrid resistance decreases, nano-materials than non-nano-materials to reduce the degree of low.

The dielectric properties of the polyimide-inorganic hybrid materials differ depending on the dielectric properties of the inorganic substances contained therein. For example, polyimide-SiO2 hybrids generally have a higher dielectric constant than non-hybrid materials. However, the low permittivity SiO2 aerogels and polyimide hybrid, the dielectric constant of the hybrid from 3.4 to 2.9. As another example, the polyimide-PZT hybrid has a dielectric constant of 13 and a dielectric loss of 0.01. Polyimide hybrid films containing 15% to 20% BaTiO3 have a dielectric constant of 10 and a dielectric loss of 0.08. The dielectric properties of polyimide-LiNbO3 hybrid films are different from those of LiNbO3 single crystals. The dielectric constant decreases with increasing temperature, which is due to the random orientation of LiNbO3 nanocrystals in the polyimide matrix.
